Rantau, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The seriousness and commitment of the Tapin District Government in managing the environment and hygiene has yielded very satisfying results, namely the Adipura award in the small town category.
Monday (1/14), Vice President HM Jusuf Kalla accompanied by Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya handed over Adipura award to the Regent of Tapin HM Arifin Arpan at the Dr. Soedjarwo Auditorium, Manggala Wanabakti Building, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Central Jakarta.
Regent HM Arifin Arpan said he was proud and happy for the success in reaching the third consecutive Adipura. "It is our great responsibility to try better in creating clean and green Tapin," he said.
He said Tapin must continue to innovate in environmental governance and urban planning. Surely there must be support from all parties.
"What we have achieved is our mutual success, the result of the collaboration of all parties," he said again.
For this success, the Regent invited all elements of society to continue to cultivate a sense of belonging to the Tapin Regency, so that they care about the cleanliness and the environment in Bumi Ruhuy Rahayu (nickname of the district).
"Alhamdulillah this is the third Adipura award for Tapin, and we have won it in succession, namely from 2016, 2017 and 2018," he said.
