Head of Organization of the Barito Kuala (Batola) Administration H Ibadurrahman said the mall is intended to make it easier for the local people to get services provided by government agencies.
"Through this service mall, people can save their time in handling documents and needs related to the services provided," he said on Wednesday.
According to him, the Public Service Mall will be launched officially on Tuesday, which is coincided with the district 59th anniversary.
At its trial service, Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS, District Secretary H Supriyono, and other officials came to observe.
Some were curious and asking the attendants about what kind of services are provided, the completeness to support smoothness of services, and so on.
The regent, who was a former South Kalimantan Council Assembly speaker, even had a talk with the head of the agency (Disdukcapil) wondering about things related to the fluency of services to the public.
So far, although in a one-day trial operation, the Public Service Mall, which is in downtown of Marabahan, was responded enthusiastically by residents.
