The police also conducted a network mapping to find out. "Initial information, the crystal meth was allegedly imported and circulated to celebrate the New Year's Eve party in the city of Banjarmasin and its surroundings," said the Regional Police Chief.

Officers had lost track, because the perpetrators used ID cards with fake identities to trick the police in the field.
However, some time later, there were hints that the perpetrator was already in Sumatra. The officer rushed to trace it from the city of Palembang to the city of Bandar Lampung.
In Bandar Lampung, on December 24, 2018, officers received information that the perpetrator was in Jalan Lintas Sumatera Km 28, Natar, Branti Raya, South Lampung District.

"It was true that in the suitcase there were 12 large packages of sabu-sabu to be brought to Banjarmasin," explained Sumarto accompanied by the Head of the Satresnarkoba Comr Herry Purwanto.
By thwarting the circulation of the large quantities of sabu-sabu, the police managed to save 240 thousand drug users assuming that 1 gram of sabu-sabu consumed by 20 people.
