Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - South Kalimantan Police's Gerai Vaksin Presisi (Precision Vaccine Outlet) in collaboration with the Banjarmasin City Police have administered 2,071 vaccine shots to residents of the city.
"Alhamdulilah (praise be to Allah) today's vaccination exceeded the target with the enthusiasm of the community coming to be vaccinated," said South Kalimantan Deputy Police Chief Brig. Gen. Mohamad Agung Budijono here Tuesday.
The vaccination was held at two places, the Sultan Suriansyah building and the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic (Poliban). As many as 1,889 residents received the first dose and 182 people got the second jab vaccine.
Sultan Suriansyah building attracted the most residents, 1,228 people. While in Poliban, with the majority of students and lecturers, 843 people.
Agung said Gerai Vaksin Presisi will continue to be implemented as long as the vaccine dose is available. He invites people who have not been vaccinated to come to the vaccination center.
South Kalimantan Police, he said, supported the achievement of three million people in Bumi Lambung Mangkurat (South Kalimantan) to be vaccinated.

Almost every day the South Kalimantan Police, the district and city police, hold vaccination to support the acceleration of vaccination.
"If everyone is vaccinated and health protocol is discipline, Insya Allah the pandemic will end soon," said the Deputy Chief of South Kalimantan Police accompanied by Banjarmasin Police Chief Sr Comr Rachmat Hendrawan.
Meanwhile, the security for the implementation of vaccination was led by North Banjarmasin Police Chief Comr Indra Agung Putra Perdana to assure that participants queued orderly and there were no crowds. Residents who have been vaccinated were asked to go home immediately.
