Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarbaru City Resort Police, South Kalimantan, arrested a group I narcotics, sabu-sabu (methamphetamine), dealer and confiscated more than one kilogram of evidence.
Banjarbaru Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Kelana Jaya here on Thursday said the suspect with the initials NA (37) is a recidivist of the illegal goods ownership case.
"The suspect was arrested on Tuesday night (7/31) and found with the evidence of sabu-sabu weighing 1 kg at his home in Citra Palam Housing Complex, Guntung Manggis, Landasan Ulin, Banjarbaru," he said.
The disclosure of the largest narcotics case in the history of the Banjarbaru Police Resort was attended by the South Kalimantan Regional Police's Director of Narcotics Investigation Sr Comr M Firman and Mayor of Banjarbaru Nadjmi Adhani.
According to police chief, the arrest of NA by a number of Satresnarkoba (drug Detective Unit) members was not easy, as he tried to fight and forced his foot shot.
Prior to the arrest, the police received information from the community related to the activities of the narcotics recidivist. Then investigation was conducted deeply. According to information, the suspect had been circulating drug for a long time in Banjarbaru, Banjarmasin, Binuang and Sungai Danau, Tanah Bumbu.
"The investigation was carried out to ascertain the truth of the community's information and after it was confirmed he was raided at his house until we found 1 kg of methamphetamine," he said.
