Banjarmasin, (AntaranewsKalsel) - Traffic Unit of Banjarbaru Resort Police is wary of vehicle volume density at the peak of mudik travel backflow which is predicted to take place this week.
"We continue to monitor the movement of mudik travelers backflow, especially from the direction of Hulu Sungai to Banjarmasin," said Banjarbaru Police Chief Adj Sr comr (AKBP) Kelana Jaya through Head of Traffic Unit Adj Comr (AKP) Gustaf Adolf Mamuaya on Monday.
Gustaf said backflow is expected to occur in two big waves given the difference of office entry schedule.
In the first wave of those who work on Monday (18/6), they returned to the city of origin on the last Saturday (16/6) and Sunday (17/6).
While for those who took leave until Monday (25/6), are predicted to travel backflow on Saturday (23/6) and Sunday (24/6) later.
"So the last peak of backflow is predicted about D + 7 to D + 9 later," alumni Police Academy (Akpol) 2009 remarked.
As is known, Banjarbaru City becomes the flow of vehicles from Banjarmasin to a number of areas in Hulu Sungai and vice versa. Even travelers from coastal areas in Tanah Laut and Tanah Bumbu to Kotabaru also cross Banjarbaru if they are going to Hulu Sungai.
Therefore, members of the Banjarbaru Traffic Police continue to be on maximum in the field to make traffic arrangements so that the smooth flow of the vehicle is maintained.
