Barabai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Police arrested a resident, Hf (43), as he was found storing hundreds of liters traditional liquor tuak.
"The arrest was carried out by the HST and North Batang Alai Police team on Thursday (12/4) after receiving information from the community that in Muara Rintis Village, liquor transactions are frequent," said Police Chief Adj Sr Comr Sabana Atmojo.
Following up the report, officers conducted an investigation and managed to find a house that allegedly became a place of liquor production of palm wine.
Members of the HST Resort Police headed by Sabhara Unit Chief Iptu Anton Silalahi raided the house to arrest the residents of the house who allegedly became a maker of alcohol.
Inside the house found 3 barrels of water containing 150 liters tuak, 1 barrel containing 120 liters, and 4 jerry contains 35 liters of palm wine.
In addition, officers confiscated 2 cardboard bark of Laru originating from Inrekan district, South Sulawesi, as mixed material and 5 boxes of kudu for a mixture.
According to the police chief, Laru wood was obtained by the perpetrator when his wife came home from Inrekan District. The amount of alcoholic drink of tuak Oplosan which is laid out is approximately 750 liters.
"We would like to thank the community for help so that the circulation of alcohol in HST can be thwarted and ask the residents who know there is a circulation of alcohol to immediately report to police nearby because alcoholic Oplosan is not good for health and dangerous even can take lives," he said.
