Tanjung, S Kalimantan 3/11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Adaro Indonesia coal mining company held a business competition "Spectraprenuer Award" among micro, small, and medium enterprises (popularly known as UMKM) in Tabalong, South Kalimantan, in order to encourage their independence.
The company's PR Ideham Kurniawan in Tanjung, Friday, said the business competition 1 to 6 November 2017 is to fight for the coaching fund of Rp25 million, therefore UMKM must present their business proposals.
"We conduct this business competition in cooperation with the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) Tabalong. It covers entrepreneur talk show, business proposal presentation with speech elevator method, and UMKM bazaar," explained Ideham.
Previously this business competition was opened by the Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani in Wisma Tamu Bersinar Pembataan. A total of 25 MSMEs in `Bumi Saraba Kawa` (a nickname of Tabalong) take part in this competition.
According to Anang, developing business do not get stuck in one problem, such as the place, but the SMEs should strive to produce products according to the needs of the community.
"Through this competition will emerge a variety of creative industries in Tabalong and this is a step towards the change of paradigm," Regent Anang hoped.
The winning SMEs will receive Adaro Sperraprenuer Award, coaching fund, as well as the opportunity to grab the attention of potential investors who are imported directly to see the potential of the products displayed.
Especially now the northernmost district in South Kalimantan is getting known outside of Kalimantan after successfully held a cultural parade in the framework of Hospitality Relation of Tabalong Family (KKT) in Jakarta.
One of the business actors from Kapar Village, Murung Pudak Sub-district, UMKM Mandiri displayed various carpentry products by utilizing wood waste.
"The products we display are various handicrafts from wood waste and we have to compete with tens of other SMEs to be able to win this competition," explains Norhayati Alam from UMKM Mandiri.
