Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Universities under the auspices of Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region XI Kalimantan are committed to creating safe and inclusive campuses free from all form of violence.
In a written statement here on Thursday, Deni Lajuardi, Head of the Academic and Student Affairs for LLDIKTI Region XI, said that efforts to prevent and address violence are crucial as universities are birthplace of the nation's future generation.
“One concrete step is forming a task force involving lecturers, educational staff, and students to prevent and handle violence on campus,” he said at the opening of technical guidance on preventing and handling violence in higher education.

Lajuardi hopes that all participants to take the technical guidance seriously, so that the commitment to free campuses from violence can be truly implemented.
“Chairman of LLDIKTI Region XI conveyed a message that this activity should foster a shared commitment to create a safe, inclusive, and violence-free campus,” he said.
The technical guidance which was held as part of commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with theme "United Soverignity Against Violence, Impactful Campus, Prosperous People, Advance Indonesia.
The event was attended both in-person or online by several officials, including Yudi Saptono, Secretary of Inspectorate General of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Ministry and Head of Inspectorate General's Supervision Follow-up Facilitation Section, Yulians Andarsal.
Yudi emphasied that campuses as center of education and character building bear a significant responsible in creating true independence for the entire academic community.
