Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district of government Kotabaru through the Education and Culture Office held a dance performance with the theme "Mausung Budaya, Batari Sabanua". 

Kotabaru Assistant I for Government and Community's Welfare H Minggu Basuki said that this demonstrates the government's commitment to preserving and developing arts and culture, particularly dance as an important part of the region's identity and wealth. 

This event not only showcases the beauty of art, but also strengthening love for local culture," he said here as reported on Monday.

The dance performance was attended by approximately 37 participants, including Banjar traditional dance, creative dance, and performance by school dance club representing SD (elementary), SLTP (junior), and SMA (high school). 

Head of Kotabaru Education and Culture Office Akhmad Romansyah said that this dance performance indirectly helps  preserve dance culture in Kotabaru Regency. 

"This is the first time this event has been held, with our hope that in the future art studios (sanggar tari) can collaborate with Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) to make the event even more lively. Let's work together to preserce our local culture," he said.
