Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru's Assistant for Government and Community Welfare H Minggu Basuki has closed the 2026 Kotabaru Hebat XCO MTB mountain bike race at the Gedambaan Bike Park circuit.
“We would like to thank all committee members, sponsors, and the community for their support event to making this event ran smoothly,safely, and lively,” said Minggu Basuki here as reported on Monday.
“This event is expected to strengthen brotherhood and enhance the attractiveness of tourist destinations in Kotabaru,” he said.

The district government of Kotabaru hopes that similar event to continue to be held regularly with more attractive packaging and more participants, involving various parties.
He also congratulated the winners and motivated them to continue their achievements in the future events.
To those who did not win, he encouraged them to maintain their enthusiasm and continue practicing.
The 2026 Kotabaru Hebat XCO MTB mountain bike race is an effort to scout potential cyclists and promote healthy lifestyle.

The local male student cycling category had 18 participants, the 17 and under category had 23 participants, nd local Men's category had 24 participants.
The Women Open category had 8 participants from various regions, including Amuntai, Kandangan, Kotabaru, Balikpapan, Banjarbaru, and Marabahan. Meanwhile, Master A category for age 30–40 had 18 participants, and the kategori local female Student category had 6 participants.
In addition to individual category, the race included a Team Relay category participated by 7 team from various regions: Kotabaru, Tanah Bumbu, Kandangan, Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), Balikpapan, and Banjarbaru.
