Rantau, South Kalimantan, 28/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The 3R waste disposal (TPS) managed by NGO Mitra Bakti in Binuang, Tapin district, became the national pilot.
The 3R waste disposal manager M Yusuf in Pualam Sari Village on Tuesday said that it was chosen as a pilot, because of some innovations in waste management, namely composting with bamboo cage method which is more effective and efficient.
"Thank God, the TPS was chosen by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) as a practice on the technical assistance activities attended by representatives from 34 provinces," he said.
The bamboo cage method has been developed over the past year at the TPS was considered very efficient in making compost in a way that is easier and faster.
He claimed the ability came just from reading a book, by trying to be self-taught, and finally found a way to make compost easiest method bamboo fence complete with air circulation system inside.
In addition, Yusuf modified thrasher and compost sorting that facilitate in making compost in large quantities, namely two tons of compost from 10 tons of wet garbage.
The modified engine capable of distinguishing between organic and non-organic to 500 kilograms per hour, ten times the ability of common machines on the market.
Now the modified engine is trusted to be marketed, and there have been several machine buyer ordered from other districts TPS 3R.
"Last year two machines sold to TPS 3R Kandangan and TPS 3R Alabio. Currently we are completing the manufacture of four ordered engines," he said.
While it compost production is two tons in a month always sold out, primarily purchased by the Environment Agency and is used for agriculture and communities, especially mothers who like planting flowers.
