Kotabaru govt distributes assistance to Kelumpang Selatan at Ramadan Safari

Batulicin (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan Province, provided a number of assistance to the people of Kelumpang Selatan Sub-district as part of Ramadan 1447 Hijri Safari.

Regional Secretary of Kotabaru H Eka Safrudin in Batulicin on Sunday said the assistance including incentives for Darul Huda TPQ (Quranic Education Center) teachers, Pantai Village, assistance for people with disabilities, assistance for productive economic enterprises, and uninhabitable houses rehabilitation program.

"The local government also distribute supplementary food for babies, pregnant women, and adolescent girls, grants in the form of cultivator and production facilities for various chili to Sejahtera Women Farmers Group of Pembelacanan Village," he said on Sunday.

On the same occasion, the government also distributed Plantation Business Registration Certificates (STDB) to the community for 325 plots as part of community plantation business standardization program.

The Kotabaru Fisheries Office also handed over a grant of boat engine to Jaya Bersama fishermen group of Pantai Village as well as freshwater aquaculture infrastructure.

Halal certicates were also handed over to a number micro-businesses in Kelumpang Selatan and tents assistance to Generasi Muda Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) of Pembelacanan Village.

"This assistance is hoped to strengthen relationship between the local government and the community, while also encouraging welfare improvement of people in Kelumpang Selatan," said the Secretary.

Head of Kelumpang Selatan Sub-district Sugeng expressed his gratitude for the Regent's attention to his residents.

"Since the 2025 period, there have been 54 development projects in Kelumpang Selatan highly beneficial for the people, covering the agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure sectors," said Sugeng.

He hopes the planned road costruction from Pembelacanan to Tanjung Pangga Village will soon be realized considering it significantly supporting community economic activities.
