Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Sjamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Air Base (Lanud) in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, distributed 351 portions of free nutritious food to schools around the base in Syamsudin Noor Urban Village.
"We are beginning to distribute free nutritious meal prepared by Sjamsudin Noor Air Base's Dapur Mandiri (independent kitchen)," said Commander of Sjamsudin Noor Air Base Colonel Pnb Sri Raharjo in Banjarbaru, Tuesday.
The schools that received free nutrious meal, which was distributed from Monday (18/11) were early childhood education PAUD Terpadu Angkasa 1 Lanud Sjamsudin Noor 134 portions, kindergarten TK Angkasa 2 Lanud Sjamsudin Noor 36 portion, and kindergarten TK Tunas Bangsa Landasan Ulin 184 portions.
The Commander said it was a concrete manifestation of Sjamsudin Noor Air Base's support for the government's program healthy and nutritious lunch for the community.
He is committed to continue to provide free meal according to budget capabilities.
The target, in accordance with the free nutritious meal echoed by President Prabowo, were pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, toddlers, and school children.
In its operation, the Sjamsudin Noor Air Base's Dapur Mandiri empowered by personnel with cooking skills and assisted by mothers who are members of PIA Ardhya Garini (Association of Wives of Indonesian Air Force members) Branch 11/D.II Sjamsudin Noor Air Base.
Nutrition and culinary experts were also involved to ensure the quality and healthy food and meet balanced nutrition.
