Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar motivated the 13th batch graduates of Paris Barantai Kotabaru Teacher Training and Education (STKIP) to continue to be enthuasiastic and work.
"This graduation is not the end of your struggle, but the beginning of a new journey to apply your knowledge to be independent. Keep on working and enthusiastic," said the Regent in his remarks here on Saturday.
The District Government of Kotabaru will always support and synergize with this campus, providing opportunities for graduates to serve and contribute for the nation and state.
A total 127 students were graduated, they were 34 from Mathematics Education, 51 from Indonesian Language and Literature, and 42 from Physical, Health and Recreation Education study programs.

Chairman of STKIP Paris Barantai Kotabaru Husni Mubarak said the college had graduated 2,693 students since 2009.
"Since the status upgrade from Diploma-II Academic Teacher Training to College of Teacher Training and Education in 2009, STKIP Paris Batantai had graduated 2,693 graduates. This is the real contribution of STKIP Paris Barantai in development in Indonesia, especially the quality of human resources," he explained.
The STKIP also continues to develop and improve lecture facilities, lecturer competency, and open sacholarship for children who wish to continue their education to university.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), along with the improvement of accreditation and campus quality, many people are enthuasiatic about admission. It is proven that this year we accepted 170 people," he said.
He also expounded that children from remote villages in Kotabaru and surrounding areas who are economically constrained can study at STKIP Paris Barantai which provides KIP (Smart Indonesia Card) scholarship, Baznas (The National Alms Agency) scholarship, and others.
On that occasion, a commemorative plaque was handed over from STKIP Paris Barantai to Kotabaru Regent H. Sayed Jafar, as well as the handover of Baznas scholarship to 3 students for each faculty.
Professor Udiansyah from University of Lambung Mangkurat, gave a scientific oration to the 13th batch of graduates.
The event was also attended by DPRD speaker, the district leadership communication forum (forkopimda), heads of universities in Kotabaru, Chair of Paris Barantai PPSDM Foundation, Chair of Senate, lecturers, and parents of graduates.
