Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Some colleges in Amuntai, North Hulu Sungai, South Kalimantan, began to anticipate the ASEAN Economic Community or MEA to prepare a competency test for students.
Chairman of the College of Agricultural Sciences (Stiper) Ahmad Suhaimi in Amuntai said on Wednesday, college graduates are not only required to have a diploma, but also sertificate to pass the competency test.
"We plan to build competence institution in Stiper Amuntai and review the education curriculum to better suit the needs of the workforce," said Suhaimi.
In a row of 8th graduation of Stiper Amuntai this year, it will built competency test room as the forerunner to the construction of the institution.
He said when MEA comes into effect scholars no longer only required to have a bachelor's degree, but they must have certificate of competence from the National Agency for Professional Certificate (BNSP) to be accepted in the world of work.
Through Agro Technology and Agribusiness Program, Stiper Amuntai graduted 84 scholars who are welcome in agriculture employment, as the HSU administration focus on building the agricultural sector to realize the vision of a prosperous swamp.
"We expect Stiper graduates always optimistic and working hard to be able to adapt to the world of work, because they are already equipped with knowledge and skills in the field," he said.
