Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regency Government of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, collaborates with Jhonlin Rescue to improve skills of members of Fire Brigade in combating fires in the local areas.
Head of the Tanah Bumbu Satpol PP (Public Order Agency) and Fire Brigade Syaikul Ansyari here on Tuesday said that in this collaboration Tanah Bumbu firefighters were trained to save fire victims from multi-storey buildings.
"This training is important to increase firefighters skill considering there are many high buildings in Tanah Bumbu," he said.
Firefighters here, he said, need to have adequate skills to handle fire disasters in the most difficult terrain.

Efforts to rescue people from heights must be balanced with capabilities of fire crews, as well as the tools needed.
"Related to fire handling tools, I have conveyed it to the Regent. He welcomed this considering it related to the safety of residents," he said.
Syaikul added that he would continue to provide various trainings for firefighters, because their duties are not only related to fires but also social activities.
"Firefighters even helped catch snakes and evacuate wasp nest from households," he said.
Syaikul expressed his gratitude to PT Jhonlin Grup which through Jhonline Rescue has provided training.
A source person from Jhonlin Resscue, Rahmatullah, said that this activity was knowledge sharing related to rescuing people from heights.
"The more people know, the more people can be saved if a disaster occurs," he said.
