Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Dangsanak Foundation, which operates in education and religion, helps dais or preachers in the hinterland of Meratus with motorbikes to make it easy for them to provide guidance to Islamic converts.
A Honda Supra vehicle was handed over to Jihan, a young dai of Paramasan Atas, Banjar District, for his activities in tough terrain in the Meratus mountains, in Banjarmasin on Tuesday, and witnessed by the coach of the foundation Prof. Fauzi Aseri.
"We provide assistance to dais in the hinterlands as needed, there are vehicles and there are other things for makes coaching easier," said Fahrurazie.
This was the fourth motorbike assistance from the foundation. Three motorbikes were previously handed over and it is planned to follow with two more motorbikes for dais in Loksado, South Hulu Sungai District, and Paramasan Atas, Banjar District.
Assistance for converts also varies, from basic necessities, health care, religious guidance, house renovations, and building Islamic Center.
House renovation first carried out in 2004 to a house of a Muslim convert in Mantui Village, Lok Lahung, and Haratai, Loksado Sub-district.
Fachrurazie admitted that house renovation depends on the foundation's capabilities.
Since it was founded, there had been activities in Loksado by helping 35 children graduated from elementary school to continue their study to junior high school.
The foundation's activities also reach the Paramasan sub-district, Banjar District, Meratus mountains in the Halong area, Balangan District, and Nateh area, Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District.
