Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Administration's Assistant for Government and People's Welfare H Minggu Basuki joined the Rukun Makmur farmers group in Pramasan Dua Kali Sanga Village harvested corns covering an area of 20 hectares in Meratus mountains.
He said the potential of agriculture, if managed well, the results will be promising.
"The potential for agriculture is very promosing if managed well and this is proven by our farmers with the result of the hard work of of Rukun Makmur farmers group in managing land until the harvest was successful," he noted in a statement released on Friday.

"Congratulation on the corn harvest managed by farmers in Pramasan Dua Kali Sanga Village and (congratulations to) Agriculture Office together with agricultural counseling workers for their guidance to farmers," added Minggu.
He hopes that the results of the corn harvest will bring blessing to farmers, their families, and the wider community.
Head of Kotabaru Food Security and Agriculture Office Saperiani was grateful, despite the dry season, Rukun Makmur farmers group managed to harvest con on 20 hectares land with a yield of 7 tons per hectare.
This harvest achievement was decreased from the usual around 8 tons per hectare due to dry season factors.
"Indeed, we have an assistance program for three sub-districts with the hope that in December when rainy season the planting will be ready to be carried out," he said.
