Jakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah has distributed staple food packages to workers and other community members residing near the Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UINSA) in Surabaya City, East Java, ahead of the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The minister said in a press statement made available to ANTARA here Sunday that the basic food assistance showed a solidarity and care for workers and those living near the UIN Sunan Ampel.

"As part of the UINSA Alumni, we just want to provide assistance to the workers at UIN Sunan Ampel and to local residents," she said.
The distribution of the Ramadan food aid was part of efforts to strengthen the relationship by IKA UINSA to workers and community members around the university's campus area.
"This is part of our efforts to establish relationship with the ladies and gentlemen who work at UIN Sunan Ampel, and this will hopefully be useful for all of us," said Ida Fauziyah.
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Titin (36), said she was grateful for the Ramadan food assistance from the minister. The assistance was very beneficial for herself and hoped that the assistance could also be useful for other beneficiaries, especially the people living near UIN Sunan Ampel.
"Hopefully, this program can continue," said Titin.
