Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Criminal Investigation Unit Police is investigating a fraud case of 20 grams gold that occurred in this city.
Head of Criminal Investigation unit Police Wildan Aberd SIK in here on Wednesday said the victim of fraud is Nurul Huda (56), a resident of Jalan Desa Tangga Ulin, Sub-district of Amuntai, North Hulu Sungai.
The fraud which happened on Monday (31/8) afternoon around 17:00 at Km 5 Jalan Ahmad Yani, East Banjarmasin, caused the victim suffered loss of Rp20 million with a loss of two 99-carat gold bracelet along with receipts.
This crime included in Article 378 of the Code of Penal (KUHP) About Fraud, under penalty of five years.
"The characteristics of the perpetrator was known to us from the narrative of the victim. The perpetrator of this apparently an expert of fraud," he said.
After the victim's report, he said, the police must follow up and catch the culprit.
Wildan urged people not to easily trust in strangers and always alert themselves by not using excessive jewelry when going out.
