Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Investigator of the South Kalimantan Police Directorate of General Crime Investigation (Ditreskrimum) officially raised investigation status of ES (39), director of CV Tr, on suspicion of fraud and embezzlement.
"The reported person has been named a suspect," said Director of General Crime Investigation Sr Comr Police (Kombespol) Sofyan Hidayat here. He also acknowledged that investigators are looking for the suspects whose whereabouts is unknown.
"The suspect, who previously had fulfilled the investigator summon when the initial report came in, is now being sought," he said.
Sofyan stated that quite a number of people reported the suspects for alleged fraud and embezzlement.
Based on information compiled by Antaranews, there were at least four reports from victims of alleged deception with various modes of bidding for project cooperation. The cases are also handled by various Sub-Directorate in Ditreskrimum.
Anton (80), a victim, who came to the South Kalimantan Regional Police Thursday (9/8), told the alleged fraud committed by ES until the Rp1.4 billion worth of money he invested disappeared.
"The mode is offering cooperation in land procurement project in South Ring of Banjarmasin. Later we were informed that Anton was not the only victim of fraud with losses varied to reach tens of billions of rupiah," said the attorney Adi Susanto, who accompanied Anton.
