Barabai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District has seen a dramatic drop in COVID cases and hospitalization. Only five patients are now being treated.
The District Health Office's data as of October 16, 2021, showed positive cases were only found in 3 of 11 sub-districts, namely in Barabai, Haruyan, and Labuan Amas Selatan.
In Barabai Sub-district only two cases were found one in Barabai Timur Urban Village and one in Banua Jingah Village.
Two people are undergoing treatment in Haruyan, one in Teluk Masjid Village, and one in Haruyan Village.
Only one cases found in Labuan Amas Selatan, namely in Pantai Hambawang Barat Urban Village.
The sub-districts which now free from the spread of COVID-19 are Pandawan, Batang Alai Timur, Batang Alai Selatan, Batang Alai Utara, Hantakan, Batu Benawa, Limpasu, and Labuan Amas Utara.
Of the total 3,164 positive cases recorded in HST, 2998 people were declared recovered, 161 people died, and only one suspect left.
HST is now in the status of a yellow zone with low risk, and school students from the level of kindergarten (TK), elementary (SD), to junior (SMP) are allowed to attend direct learning every day, but remain to comply with the strict health protocols.
