Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Kotabaru Navy Base won the first exemplary award in 2018 from Navy Chief of Staff Admiral TNI Siwi Sukma Adji, S.E., M.M.
Kotabaru Naval Base Commander Marine Lt. Col. (E) Joko Andriyanto, S.T., M.Tr Hanla, received the Charter flag as the First Exemplary Naval Base from the Chief of Staff of the Koarmada (Kaskoarmada) II First Admiral Ahmadi Heri Purwono, S.E., M.M. representing the Commander of the Fleet Command (Pangkoarmada) II Rear Admiral Mintoro Yulianto, S. Sos., M.Sc.
"Kotabaru Naval Base as part of the Integrated Fleet Weapon System (SSAT) component has a vision of" being strong, professional, and loved by the people" always strives optimally to be the spearhead in supporting the success of current and emergency Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) Task Force tasks," Joko Andriyanto said in a release on Thursday.
This award was given to the best Navy Base in the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The awarding took place in the series of Commemoration Ceremony of Fleet Day in 2018 at the Madura Pier, 2nd Fleet Command (Koarmada) Headquarters, Ujung Surabaya, Wednesday (5/12).
Commemoration of the 2018 Fleet Day with the theme "Indonesian Fleet of the Knights of the Guardians of the Ocean and Adhesive of the Archipelago, Together with the People Ready to Maintain the Sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia" carried out in each Makoarmada (Fleet Command Headquarters) in a simple and solemn manner.
The award to Kotabaru is a form of appreciation from the Navy Chief to the soldiers at Kotabaru Naval Base who have carried out their best duties in the command ranks optimally.
The Kotabaru Navy Base is the 2nd Fleet Command Support Implementation Command in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan. Its working area covers two districts, namely Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu.
