Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Tanah Bumbu Social Office together with the Tanah Bumbu Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has built public kitchens for victims of floods in the Satui Sub-district.
"The public kitchens are located in Sungai Danau Village and Sinar Bulan Village," said Head of BPBD Eryanto Rais in Batulicin on Sunday.
In fact, several villages that are not affected by the floods, have built other public kitchens to help people to get enough food.
He said that the floods that hit Satui since Thursday, May 14, 2021, had affected 3,891 families or about 14,433 people.

Even today, officers from the military (TNI), police (Polri), BPBD, and the SAR team are still evacuating people to higher ground because several villages are still submerged.
"So far there have been no casualties due to the flood disaster, but officers remain vigilant and keep patrolling to ensure the safety of residents. The government also provides medical personnel to monitor public health," he said.
