Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The joint SAR team led by the Banjarmasin National Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) through the SAR Office of Kotabaru distributed logistic assistance to the locations of floods in Satui Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, where some of the residents were still staying at home on Saturday.
"Entering the third day of the flood, supply food, especially ready-to-eat food is a priority that is needed by residents at this time. So, this is what is distributed," said Head of Banjarmasin Basarnas Slamet Riyadi in Banjarmasin.
He said people who chose to remain at home are those who live in two-story houses, so they can still stay on the upper floor. Even so, officers still appealed to them to take refuge in a safer place.
"We as rescue workers are on standby to monitor the situation to provide rescue and evacuation," he said.
