Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Labor Minister Hanif Dhakiri to report companies that employ foreign nationals illegally to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, stock exchanges and other institutions to be given proper sanctions.
Head of South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Agency, Antonius Simbolon, here on Sunday said, it is expected quite many companies employ illegal foreign workers in this area.
"It could be quite a lot of companies that employ illegal workers, proved when the Minister make sidak (sudden inspection) and found some workers who do not have permission to stay," he said.
Related to the number of companies that hire illegal foreign citizens, Minister Hanif Dhakiri in Syamsudin Noor Airport, Saturday (14/3) night, confirmed that the company immediately reported to the relevant agencies.
"We will report a company that does not comply with the provisions of all relevant agencies, including the EMR and the stock exchange, to immediately be given in accordance with the specified sanctions," he said.
According Dhakiri, illegal entry of foreign citizens, not just harm a lot of income but will make it difficult for authorities to conduct surveillance.
"If a foreign national worker only has to pay to the state Rp12 million a year, so if there are 100 foreign national workers illegally the losses reached Rp1.2 billion per year, and the predicted number of foreigners are still quite a lot," he said.
Hanif acknowledged, the control of foreign workers in Indonesia is not too obtrusive, while the government has focused on improving the service. So in the future control of foreign national workers will be a priority to enhance.
According to him, Indonesia is an open country, so the government may not prohibit the entry of foreigners. But the whole foreigners who enter must be in accordance with the provisions and procedures have been established.
