Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Chairman of the South Kalimantan Sugar Association (AGB) H Aftahuddin ensured that sugar stock in the province is safe until Idul Adha.
"Our sugar stock now until Idul Adha remains safe, so people in South Kalimantan do not need to worry," he said in Banjarmasin on Thursday.
The sugar distributor said that the sugar stock in warehouse at present is 1,500 tons and will increase, because suppliers from some regions will continue to supply.
Thus, he said, people need not to afraid of the possibility of scarcity to occur in stock which is now sufficient.
Aftah also said that the price of sugar remains stable in accordance with the retail price ceiling (HET) set by the government, Rp12.500 per kg.
