The Agriculture Agency of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, will soon help the local farmers to make drill well in anticipation of crop failure caused by drought.
"The discourse of making drill well by 15 points to spread in the sub-districts of Kusan Hilir, Satui, Batulicin, and Karang Bintang using the 2020 State Budget of Rp225 million," said Head of the Tanah Bumbu Agriculture Agency Faurazi Akbar through Head of Land, Irrigation, and Agricultural Financing Section Achmad Firsadah in Batulicin, Monday (March 2, 2020).
To increase rice production, he said, the agency will also realize to build tertiary irrigation in Satui, Kusan Hilir, and Sungai Loban as many as six points.

The construction of irrigation will use the 2020 state Budget fund of Rp2 billion through the responsibility of the Tanah Bumbu Agriculture Agency.
Firsadah explained, usually the time when entering second rice planting season is very close to entering dry season, thus there is a need to build drilled well to anticipate crop failure due to drought.
