Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Kotabaru in cooperation with the District Military of 1004 Kotabaru will build a road to open access, developing economy, and for the progress of the community in a remote area.
In the Karya Bakti 2020 (2020 Service Work) program, both have set to construct a 5 kilometers road in Rampa Manunggul Village to connect it to the capital of Sampanahan Sub-district and other villages around it.
The Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar said, the program will be implemented next month with a road length of 5 km. Rampa Manunggul Village has very far access to the mainland.
"We know that Rampa Manunggul Village has very far access to the mainland, so we provide for them a shortcut, until they also can enjoy electricity. Insya Allah (God Willing) in three months the work will be done," Sayed Jafar said.
He added that the road to be built will connect the access from the village to the capital of the sub-district. "Later if it is possible we will relocate part of the population," he said.

Meanwhile, Chief of Military District Command Staff (Kasdim) 1004 Kotabaru Samsul Kusairi explained, the Service Work is the program for the Army to assist regional government in the development, especially remote areas, in order the area will develop, both its economy and population, and to be more progress.
"The program held evey two years to alternate with the TMMD program," he explained.
