The Kotabaru District Government held the 76th State Defence Day ceremony at the courtyard of the Kotabaru Regent's office in Sebelimbingan.
The message from the President of Indonesia read by the Kotabaru Acting Regional Secretary H Hairul Aswandi said that the State Defence Day being held today is to commemorate the struggles have been carried out by the heroes in defending the soverignty of the country.
"The commemoration of the State Defence Day is an important momentum to reaffirm our shared commitment in maintaining and strengthening the unity of Indonesian nation," he said, Thursday (Dec 19, 2024).
Every individual has an important role in the life of the nation and state, where in the context of state defence there are five basic principles.
They namely are love of the homeland, the national and state awareness, namely Pancasila, willingness to sacrifice, and the initial ability to defend the country which is the basis for forming mental and physical strength.
