Head of South Kalimantan National Land Agency (BPN) Abdul Azis, S.H., M.Kn., together with other officials attended online the position handover ceremony of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) Minister and Deputy Minister/Head and Deputy Head of National Land Agency which took place at the ATR Ministry/BPN, Monday (Oct 21, 2024).
This momentum marked the transition of leadership within the ministry/agency, with Nusron Wahid officially serving as the new Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
Nusron Wahid remarked the importance of continuing the programs had been built by the previous leaders in the ministry. He expressed his appreciation to his predecessor Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as well as other figures who have made major contributions to this institution.
“What Mr Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has done was very good, as well as Mr Joyo Winoto, Mr Hendarman, Mr Sofyan A. Djalil they were definitely good. The things that our predecessors have pioneered must be preserved and continued. So Mr AHY don't need to worry,” said Wahid.
AHY, who was previously Minister of ATR/Head of BPN from February to October 2024, is now trusted as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, while the new ATR Deputy Minister/BPN Deputy Head Ossy Dermawan replaces Raja Juli Antoni, who is now holds the position os Forestry Minister.
Wahid conveyed a strong message to all levels of ATR Ministry/BPN regarding responsibility in public service citing a hadits about the importance of leadership that is on the side of people and the badness of leaders who make things difficult for the people.
“Let us the big family of ATR Ministry/BPN together intend to lead with intention of raising the dignity of people, without making things difficult for the people. That is the essence of serving professionally,” said Wahid.
Minister AHY, who handed over leadership, gave his sincere appreciation to all ranks of ATR Ministry/BPN for their support and hard work during his term of office.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all my friends, sir/madam who had work extraordinary hard, morning, noon and night tirelessly, helping with tasks we must achieved progressively. Of course, there are many hopes and desires that have not been fully realized. Therefore, we entrust them with fully respect to the new Minister,” said AHY.
The ceremony was also attended by a number of figures, including Head of BPN for 2005-2012 period Joyo Winoto; Hendarman Supandji as BPN Head for the period of 2012-2014; Sofyan A. Djalil, ATR Minister/BPN Head for Juli 2016-Juni 2022; and Surya Tjandra, Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN for October 2019-June 2022.
