Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - In December 2023, President Joko Widodo launched electronic certificate for the first time. After a year, people's enthusism is quite high to get this electronic type of land certificate.
"3,192,600 electronic certificates have been issued in 2024," said Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid at the ministry's year-end report activity in Jakarta, Tuesday (Dec 31, 2024) as quoted from South Kalimantan National Land Agency (BPN) in Banjarbaru.
Nowadays all land offices in Indonesia provide electronic certificates services. Every land registration, whether the first registration or other land transaction, the certificate issued will be an electronic certificate.
Electronic certificate can increase security and legal certainty by reducing the risks of damage, loss or forgery of certificate documents.
This digital system also makes it easier to access ownership data online, thereby supporting efficiency in land administration and transactions.
With electronic certificate, land owner can manage assets more safely, practically, and modernly. Thus, ATR Miniter/BPN Head appealed to the people to immediately convert their analog certificate into electronic one. "Use electronic land certificate, especially for those already registered," he said.
Attended the event were Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN, Ossy Dermawan, primary and middle leadership officials of ATR Ministry/BPN, as well as 84 national media crews.
