The government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, collaborates with steam power plant PT Makmur Sejahtera Wisesa (MSW) and PT Tanjung Power Indonesia (TPI) in utilizing organic waste into solid fuel for co-firing steam power plant.

Acting Regent Hamida Munawarah and the management of PT MSW and PT TPI signed their agreement here on Tuesday (May 28, 2024).

"We really appreciate this agreement to utilize organic waste into PLTU fuel," said Hamida.

She said, for the district government it provides benefits in organic waste management.

"The waste problem must be resolved throughly and through a joint agreement with PT MSW and PT TPI of course it will benefit us all," added Hamida.

President Director of PT MSW Edy Surahman Efendi said that an agreement with the district government to utilize organic waste has been made some time ago.

"PT MSW as the party that uses processed organic waste into fuel and PT TPI supports the procurement of equipment," Edy explained.

He expressed his gratitude to Tabalong District Government for providing a medium for PT MSW and PT TPI to contribute to the use of organic waste into PLTU fuel.

The company is committed to be more consistent in their contribution to the use of organic waste so as to help create a more clean and beautiful Tabalong Regency.
