Waste in the form of ash from PT Makmur Sejahtera Wisesa's steam-fueled power plant (PLTU) in Kasiau Village, Tabalong, will be used as raw material to mix cement.
"We send the ash waste to PT Conch and Indocement as raw material for making cement," explained PT MSW Power Plant Manager Setyo Purwanto in Tanjung, Tuesday (March 10, 2020).

In a working meeting with Tabalong Legislative Council's Commission III and Environment Agency, Setyo explained the handling of waste in the company is supervised by the local Environment Agency.
PT MSW's total fly ash sent to PT Conch and Indocement at 3.000 tons per month each, said Aditiya K, External Relation staff.
While the ash production from the coal burning process at the power plant reaches 20 tons per day.

Chairperson of Commission III Supoyo hoped the subsidiary of PT Adaro Energy to overcome its waste so as not to harm the surrounding community or settlement.
"So far residents around the PLTU have complained about the impact of the ash, it needs to be followed up," Supoyo said.
