Women in South Kalimantan planted trees for the success of Green Revolution program while commemorating Kartini Day 2024.
 
The movement was initiated by the South Kalimantan Forestry Office and Women's Empowermen, Child Protection, and Family Planning Office.

"The peak of tree planting activities will be on Kartini Day on April 22, 2024," said Head of South Kalimantan Forestry Office Fathimatuzzahra in Banjarbaru, Saturday.
 
The women's movement on Kartini Day themed "Women's devotion in greening the region", to take place at The Indonesian Tropical Rainforest Park (TH2TI) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Office in Banjarbaru city.

She said she had reviewed the location of the tree planting to ensure the implementation will run smoothly and successfully.

Her office prepares 3,000 tree seedlings for the purpose.
 
"In the series of the event, there will be awards for meritorious and outstanding women, rhyming competition, flower arrangement competition with various attractive prizes for women planting," said Fathimatuzzahra.
 
Governor Sahbirin Noor accompanied by Chairwoman of the provincial driving team of PKK Raudhatul Jannah were scheduled to join the ASN women in the activity.

Also invited were women from various profession, including acil (female call in Banjar language) jukung, acil sadap, acil kembang, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) students, Banjarbaru high school students, and women's organizations.
 
"Let's promote greener Kartini Day this year by planting together so that it is in line with the South Kalimantan Provincial Government which continue to promote Green Revolution Movement by planting and planting for posterity, as declared by Governor of South Kalimantan," she said.
