Deputy Regent of Kotabaru Andi Rudi Latif has attended the National Capital of Nusantara (IKN) coordination meeting held at Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta.
"Our presence is to listen directly to the central government direction, as well as to prepare Kotabaru as buffer area in supporting Nusantara capital city,” he noted in a press statement here, Friday.
Andi Rudi was present at the invitation of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) together with 38 governors, 514 regents and mayors throughout Indonesia in the national working meeting with the theme "Introduction of IKN and Collaboration between the Regional Government and IKN to Realize We are World for All".
Collaboration with all regional governments is to jointly build IKN in East Kalimantan as a world city for all.
"We at OIKN hope through this meeting we find potential that can be developed as one of buffers for IKN," he said.

Kotabaru Deputy Regent submitted a development plan in tourism as the superior program in concrete steps to support IKN.
OIKN head Bambang Susantono expounded that his side invited district, city, and provincial governments as well as ministries and agencies to collaborate to build Nusantara capital city.
IKN will enter a stage where the economic and business potentials of districts, cities, and provincies to be knitted and accomodated in the development of IKN, especially in the development areas outside the current area.
"As we know now we focus on KIPP (the Government Center Core Area), but the reality on the ground from five ground breaking worth Rp49.6 trillion already covers outside KIPP," Bambang explained.
There are several development areas, such as the west area slightly to the north, is where some investors are interested in.
"Of course, with this opportunities, we hold several roadshows in economic centers, such as Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, and other places to invite business players from districts, cities and provincies to jointly build Nusantara capital city," said Bambang.
