The government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, welcomed Ramadan by opening Ramadan fair called Ramadan Blessing Fair by providing 50 stands for micro, small, and medium enterprises (locally popular as UMKM).
"The holy month of Ramadan has the momentum to accomodate UMKM sector and instill the values of Islamis teachings of Rahmatan Lilalamin in the community," said Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar, Wednesday.
Here at Ramadan fair, UMKM (MSMEs) sell various types of cakes and dishes for iftar.
"We will hold Ramadhan Blessing Fair 1445 Hijriah from beginning to the end of this Ramadan," he said.
He asked MSMEs involved in the Ramadan market to pay attention to quality, so that consumers who come to shop are satisfied with the products offered.

Sayed also advised the entire community to maintain safe situation until the end of Ramadan.
Head of Kotabaru Tourism, Youth and Sports Office Sonny Tua Halomoan said the culinary tourism of the 2024 Ramadan fair is held to promote tourism and spread the development of creative economy.
"This activity is attended by 50 boths consisting of 40 Limbur or Kemakmuran traders and 10 booths from Kotabaru creative economy culinary subsectors," said Sonny.
Bank Kalsel as parter if Kotabaru government on this occasion introduced Qris as a digital financial trasaction.
In addition to culinary, Ramadan fair 2024 displays arts and culture every Saturday and Sunday.
