Regent of Balangan, South Kalimantan, Abdul Hadi was awarded the Baznas Awards 2024 for the category of regional head supporting best zakat management at Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (29/2).
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful for this Baznas Awards 2024. We receive the award with a category of regional head supporting best zakat management,” said Regent Abdul Hadi via Whatsapp, Thursday.
He told that a number of policies applied by the regional government, including assistance in fulfilling operational and financial needs, till encouraging Baznas in the district to develop faster.
Through this policy, the Rgent continued, Baznas has become the only agency trusted in managing zakat of all government employees and state civil appratus in Balangan.

Regent Abdul Hadi said, this achievement was the result of good cooperation of all parties and support of the people in Balangan Regency.
Abdul Hadi hopes that through the award he won, hopefully Baznas in Balangan will continue to improve services for umat in zakat management and social services for the community.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Baznas of Indonesia Noor Achmad remarked that the Baznas award event was held as a form of appreciation for various zakat management program in the regions.
“The role of regional heads currently very important in zakat management and collecting, especially since zakat become the Presidents concern that it should continue to be developed in the regions,” he said.
Noor Achmad said that in 2023, the zakat collected at Baznas and Lembaga Amil Zakat or Zakat Collecting Agency (LAZ) throughout Indonesia has reached Rp33 trillion with a total 65 million recipients.
