The South Kalimantan Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Agency and the state airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I have agreed to strengthen export services at Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarbaru City.
Head of the South Kalimantan Quarantine Sudirman here on Sunday said his sides and Angkasa Pura I had held a meeting to coordinate regarding improving export services at the airport.
“e agreed that we would add facilities and adjustment, so that certification services for exported commodities can run optimally,” he said.
Not only for export commodities, he said, but also for inter-provncial and inter-island domestic commodity traffic.

“Fulfillment of service facilities is like at the terminal departure and arrival, regulated agents, and cargo,” he said.
Sudirman expounded that the plan to add facilities would support maximum supervision by quarantine officials against traffic in media carrying quarantine animal pest(HPHK), quarantine fish pest (HPIK), and quarantine plant pest organism (OPTK).
He hopes coordination between the quarantine and Angkasa Pura can be implemented well to increase economic growth in South Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Syamsudin Noor Airport Dony Subardono said that quarantine, together with customs and immigration are agencies responsible for service and supervision of commodity traffic in the airport area, before entering or exiting the area.
He stated that PT Angkasa Pura I ready to fully support this collaboration for quarantine services well held in South Kalimantan.
“Syamsudin Noor Airport ready to play its maximum role in export and domestic shipments. We coordinate to realize the acceleration of quarantine services,” said Dony.
