The Government of Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan, has been able to absorb investment of IDR1.3 trillion until October 2023.
 
Head of Banjarmasin One Stop Integrated Licensing, Investment Office Ari Yani here on Tuesday said that the investment recorded had surpassed the target of the Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD).
 
The City's RPJMD targeted an investment of IDR1.1 trillion in 2023.

Ari expounded that after the pandemic, investment growth began to increase, especially in transportation, warehousing, telecommunication, and services.

The city government has responded postively to the progress of incoming investment, which growing the regional economy and absorbing workforce.
 
Banjarmasin, Ari said, has a program of easy investment with easy business licensing, including problem facilitation for business actors. 
 
Next year, the local government and legislature will work on regional regulations regarding administration of investment.
 
"So our city is very friendly towards investors," he said.
 
He also said that the Banjarmasin City Government really support and carries out President Jokowi Widodo's directions to all acting regional heads at the State Palace, including making investment licensing easier and faster to create jobs and grow the economy.
