Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Sayed Jafar received an award from the Bandung Islamic University (Unisba) for his dedication as an Islamic leader in realizing good governance in the district.
"It is the spirit of the Regional Government of Kotabaru in carrying out its duties, obligation to serve the community and carry out development to create a competitive Kotabaru," Sayed Jafar noted in a press statement here, Tuesday.
According to him, this award becomes a trigger to enthusiasm for carrying out development in Kotabaru to be more spur in termd of public services for the benefit of the people.

Unisba Dean of Faculty of Communication Atie Rachmiatie said the award was given based on monitoring and evaluation carried out by Unisba in Kotabaru.
Unisba assessed that Regent Sayed Jafar's leadership was considered successful in development.
"We establish a friendly relationship with Regent of Kotabaru and his staff, so that we have an opportunity to visit Kotabaru last May. The trip made a very deep impression on the beaty and hospitality of Kotabaru. We saw various potential of natural resources, especially related to extraordinary tourism," she said.
Kotabaru has abundant natural resources potential as buffer for IKN.
"This challanges us Unisba academics to participate in the development of Kotabaru as a buffer for the state capital in East Kalimantan (IKN), especially those related to sciences in our environment," said Atie Rachmiatie.
On that occasion, the Kotabaru government and Unisba inked an agreement to cooperate in effort to realize an advanced and quality regional development.
