Adaro Mineral Indonesia (AMI) provides students who receive the Indonesia Bright Future Leaders (IBFL) scholarship with character education to develop their soft skills.
Soft skill development for regular S1 (undergraduate) students was in the form of self-confidence development training held for three days June 24 to 26, 2023 at the Center for Social Welfare Education and Training (BBPPKS) Banjarbaru.
"Our hope is that students can develop positive self-confidence so that they have good self-efficacy after participating in the training," said AMI Comdev Section Head Sri Armiyati Jarkasi, Monday.
In addition, students are able to self-evaluate their abilities and competencies to carry out tasks, achieve goals, or to overcome obstacles.
After graduating from universities, students are expected to have positive character and good self-confidence, ready to work and be able to compete in an increasingly competitive era in all respects.
Sri added that the training was attended by 25 students recipients of IBFL scholarship, one of programs in Adaro's CSR pillar in education sector.
The IBFL recipient students who attended the mentoring program from AMI came from cities of Palangka Raya, Banjarmasin, and Banjarbaru.

During the training, they were equipped with materials related to self-character development and teamwork given indoor (in class) and its application through outdoor activities (outbond).
Meisya Cindy Stevani, one of the participants, said that this activity was very useful in developing positive character in her self.
“I am increasingly aware the importance of evaluating my self and getting rid of negative character within myself if I want to become a successful student and become a future leader," she pointed out.
In this training, the students are able to describe and know more deeply about themselves and further increasing their positive potential and throw away negative character that become obstacles for them to be more advanced.(adv)
