PT Adaro Energy Indonesia should be proud, for the umpteenth time Adaro's Indonesia Bright Future Leaders (IBFL) scholarship program has won an award.

This time IBFL received a Platinum Award at the Indonesia Sustainable Development Goals Award (ISDA) 2022 held by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD).

"Adaro is committed to realizing that the communities around its mines are independent, intelligent, prosperous in a sustainable environment through superior CSR programs that have broad impacts. One of them is the IBFL program," said PT Adaro Energy Indonesia CSR Division Head Okty Damayanti noted in  a statement received here, Sunday (Nov 27, 2022).

She said Adaro's scholarship program provides opportunities for local children who have limited economies to continue their education at universities.

"Adaro believes that highly educated regional sons and daughters will be good seeds to work at Adaro or become regional leaders in the future and Adaro believes that good education can change the destiny of a nation starting from the sons and daughters of the regions," Okty pointed out.

This award was given in accordance with Adaro's CSR spirit and efforts in building and running programs that care about quality education in accordance with SDGs 4.

The ISDA 2022 award event is the 5th with the theme "No One Left Behind, Best Practice on the Roles of Corporates in SDGs" which was expected to be a stimulant for companies in Indonesia in supporting the realization of SDGs goals.

Adaro runs the IBFL program as a form of commitment to support better human resource quality improvement by providing scholarships for outstanding children who come from underprivileged families in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

The Adaro scholarship is quite different from other scholarship programs. In addition to UKT (tuition fee), scholarship recipients are also given health benefits and financial support for living per month.

Not only providing financial assistance, IBFL scholarship recipients are also given guidance to develop several skills that can support a better future.

The ultimate goal is to form superior future leaders who have great character, become inspirational figures, have potential, and contribute to their regions.

The appreciation given by CFCD Indonesia for the 2022 ISDA Award is also dedicated to all parties who have contributed to fighting with Adaro to create a positive impact on society in order to prepare the next generation for a brighter future for the Indonesian nation.
