The District Government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, had received 5,000 doses of booster vaccine from the Ministry of Health which will be distributed to four locations in the district.
Head of Health Office Suprapti Tri Astuti said that in the first stage Kotabaru received 5.000 doses of the third or booster vaccine.
"The first day of boster vaccination is administered to TNI-Polri, but the public can also be served as long as they meet the six-month period after the second dose vaccine," he said.
The booster vaccination was started at the headquarters of the 1004 Kotabaru Military Command (Kodim 1004 Kotabaru) and as many as 1,500 doses were administered to TNI-Polri and state civil apparatus (ASN).
The booster vaccine jab was provided from January 24 to 27, 2022 at four points, namely Kodim 1004 Kotabaru, Limbur Raya Market, Siring Laut attraction, and the front of Ratu Intan Building.
In addition to providing booster vaccines, joint officers from the government and TNI-Polri also administered vaccine doses 1 and 2 for residents who have not vaccinated.
Kotabaru's vaccination coverage ha reached 77.65 percent so far, and 84 percent for residents whit ID (KTP).
