Head of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Syamsudin announced that the access road to and from Loksado, which previously was blocked by landslide could now be passed by two or four-wheeled vehicles.
The debris pileup of the landslide has previously blocked almost all the road bodies and caused community and tourists to have difficulties to go to or from the National Tourism Strategic Area (KPSN) of Loksado.
"There are three landslides that were quite large and closed the main road access. The widest of which was 50 meters," he said in a statement, Sunday (Nov 28, 2021).
The distance of the landslide point is about two kilometers. As a result, public access has been hampered from morning to the night. However, at around 20.30 Wita (Central Indonesia Time) it already can be passed by two or four-wheeled vehicles.
The District Government of HSS through Public Works and Spatial Agency (Dinas PUTR) has been handling the impact of landslide by cleaning landslide debris using a tractor since daylight.
"We urge the public and tourists to be vigilant, the rainfall has been high lately," he said.

Previously, the Head of the BPBD reported that the overflow of river water had caused flooding to inundate several areas in Kandangan City and its surroundings.
The overflow occurred after fairly heavy rainfall, including in the Meratus Mountains in Loksado Sub-district, since Saturday (27/11) night and was stopped on Sunday morning at around 08.00 Wita.
The overflow of river water has caused residents' houses and roads to be flooded in Loksado Sub-district and Padang Batung Sub-district. There is no report of casualties so far.
