The COVID-19 pandemic has not completely subsided that the Kotabaru DPRD urges all elements of society to remain vigilant against the emergence of the third wave.

"Therefore, in the preparation of the 2022 budget the local government is expected to anticipate funding because handling COVID-19 must remain a priority," said Deputy Chairman of DPRD M Mukni AF as reported on Friday.
 
"This includes funding for the needs of dealing with natural disasters that cannot be predicted in the next year," he added. 

He also reminded that there are still many people who have not received the first COVID vaccine dose.  

Regarding the economic development that relies on agribusiness and tourism, he reminded that the active role of local government is urgently needed, especially at this time when the economic condition of the community is weakening due to the COVID-19 outbreak that the impacted has really impacted.
