Chairman of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region XI Kalimantan Profesor Udiansyah reminded that the implementation of face-to-face lectures at private universities in Kalimantan should be adapted to the condition of the respective region.
According to the professor, in general, private universities under his guidance, are ready to conduct face-to-face lectures, by implementing all provisions of health protocols.
However, he said, the decision to be allowed or not to carry out face-to-face lectures is the domain of the COVID-19 Task Force of each region where the private university is located.
"It is not the domain of LLDIKTI to allow or not, so I ask all private universities to follow the provisions of their respective region," he said in Banjarmasin Thursday (June 24, 2021).
Professor Udiansyah acknowledged that many students are getting bored with online learning, because of various limitations on what can be done.
However, if the COVID-19 infection in the region of the private university is still high, then it should comply with any decision from the COVID-19 Task Force or the local government.

UNISKA Rector Prof. Abd. Malik, SPt. said for the last one year his college has conducted online lectures.
He hopes that face-to-face lectures can be held next semester because online lectures are very different from face-to-face lectures.
"We hope that we can immediately conduct lectures as before. However, if face-to-face lectures are not yet possible, we will only conduct with certain subjects that require practicum, with strict health protocols," he said.
