The Berkah Mulia village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) of Bukit Mulia Village, Kintap Sub-district, Tanah Laut District, was named as the best BUMDes at the South Kalimantan provincial level in 2021.
The title of the best BUMDes was bestowed based on the assessment to the commitment of the boards of the enterprise as well as the village government to the development of the BUMDes in improving the community welfare.
Also assessed is the support of the sub-district and the district government, how useful the BUMDes is for the community, the transparency of its financial reports or administrative order, and its contribution to the village in the form of Village Derived Income (PADes).
For its success, the Berkah Mulia BUMDes received a cash prize of IDR25 million.

Head Section of Building Community Economic Empowerment of the Tanah Laut Community and Village Empowerment Agency (DPMD) Marlisa Zanna Rihana said the BUMDes had made a commitment between its board of administration and the village government to build the village for the village welfare.
It has a livestock business, such as laying hens, and successful with a catering business. It becomes the primadonna of providing catering service for the employees of PT Arutmin Indonesia.
"We hope that the Berkah Mulia BUMDes does not just get complacent here, develop more progressively. If possible all business in the BUMDes, hopefully in the future it can be at the national level. Why we can't if other people can," said Marlisa in Pelaihari, Monday (April 26, 2021).
Apart from Berkah Mulia BUMDes, Tanah Laut should also be proud. The Maju Bersama BUMDes of Tirta Jaya Village, Bajuin Sub-district, won the sixth-best at the provincial level and a prize of IDR8 million.
The best BUMDes will be present at the 2021 BUMDes Expo at Duta Mall Banjarmasin in June 2021.
