Cash Labor Intensive (PKT) program held by the Tapin Community and Village Empowerment (PMD) Agency for 28 villages in nine sub-districts absorbed a budget of IDR1 billion. 

"Most of the (cash labor-intensive for) the activities of cleaning rivers and roads. There is also repairment of irrigation, corn gardening, and others," said Head of the PMD Agency Rahmadi as reported on Tuesday.

He said that the program used refocusing funds, with almost IDR1 billion expended, up from IDR600 million in the previous year. 

"Last year we used the regional incentive fund (DID). There might be another PKT using these funds, but we should first see the development of the program, it will be the basis for the next," he said. 

Acting Secretary of Tapin Gusti Ridha Jaya said that the labor-intensive program can help the recovery of people's economy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

"The program is an appropriate form of activity. It means that we already able to help people to improve their economy," he said.
